The Analog Devices Building is the award-winning flagship site for the Bernal Project built on the South Campus of the University of Limerick and completed in 2015. This groundbreaking science and engineering research facility is housed within a new four-storey structure, with a gross floor area measuring 7,650m² comprising state-of-the-art laboratories with research suites, write-up areas, meeting rooms, offices, and a 200-seat lecture theatre.

PJ Hegarty was a key project stakeholder in the Bernal Project and the contract included both construction of the innovative Analog Device Building and the coordination of M&E installations in this highly serviced facility. Designed using Building Information Modelling (BIM), it was one of the first university buildings to receive an Excellent rating from the BREEAM sustainability assessment. It also won the 2016 Building Project of the Year Award at the Irish Building & Design Awards, which recognise excellence in the Irish building and design sectors.
