Mercy Hospital Prostrate Cancer Talk

Mercy Hospital Prostrate Cancer Talk

Last week, Paul Ahern, a urology specialist at Mercy University Hospital, joined us for two talks on prostate cancer.

Paul, who has worked for 22 years running the Uro-Oncology Unit, which treats five different urology cancers, spoke to our staff across Ireland and the UK about the importance of early detection and treatment and raising awareness of the disease with colleagues, family and friends. The talks underscore our commitment to the health and wellbeing of our staff, as prostate cancer is one of the most common types of cancer among men and often goes undiagnosed due to a lack of awareness or reluctance to discuss health issues.

PJ Hegarty was pleased to donate to Mercy University Hospital Foundation and photographed below is Maurice Killeen, Director; Genevieve Rose, HR Business Partner; Linda Egan of Mercy University Hospital Foundation; and Paul Ahern, Urology Specialist.
